Meeting Mickey for the first time was a little confusing. He's headstrong, completely unconventional, and his mind seems to work in some abstract way that I still don't quite understand. I wasn't sure whether he was just a complete weirdo or a creative genius. As I got to know him over the next 8 years, I realized the latter to be true. I've never met anyone with a deeper fascination or insight into the human sociological condition as Mickey. His observations, expressed through his art, which in itself spreads over nearly every aspect of his life, show keen understanding, compassion, and profoundly deep philosophical musings that one would expect from a savant many years his senior.
